I'm glad that worked for you, but I didn't get it to work on my phone :-/
I tried this for another volume fix.....
1. touch “dial”
2. type : *#0002*28346#
3. press the “back” button twice (maybe 3 times – their directions said 3 times but it took only two for me)
4. press #3 [spk config]
5. press #5 [AV-QSynth (MMF)] – (for mp3 settings press #4 instead)
6. press #1 [spk MMF Vol
Now you will see a list (0 – 6) under MIDI Volume, READ
Change each one, in order, beginning by:
1. touch #0
2. tap entry bar
3. type in -40 ( - sign = hitting #1 key 4 times)
4. hit “ok”, then “ok” again
The #0 reading should now be -4.0db
Repeat these steps for the remaining numbers (1-6) exactly as above.
To change your Mp3 volumes do exact same steps just press #4 instead of #5 in step #5 at the top.
When you are finished go into your sound profile and select “Increasing Melody” or “Vibe & Increasing Melody”. (Sounds crazy but you MUST choose Increasing Melody for this to work)
Should you make a mistake or want to go back to factory settings do this:
1. type *2767*2878#
2. press #8 [audio]
3. press # 6 [rebuild]
4. press #3 [rebuild spk]
It will then tell you rebuild result is done.
Press “confirm” – will take you back to menu. Turn phone off and back on again.
Still could NOT get my phone volume and speaker settings back to the original factory condition though....Volume still much lower then before when I started trying the hack...
I'm still working on trying to get an acceptable volume level- very frustrating...
